Insights

The Passavant® longitudinal scraper in bridge design spans one or more adjacent longitudinal tanks. The blade scraper pushes the settled sludge against the direction of flow into a sludge collection hopper at the inlet, while the suction scraper conveys the settled sludge directly from the bottom of the tank into a collection trough.
Optionally, sludge discharge is possible in both directions of flow, allowing higher sludge quantities with shorter sludge residence time. The floating sludge is cleared in the direction of flow to the outlet end of the sedimentation tank and removed from there.

For safe year-round operation, regardless of ice, snow, and rain-soaked roadways, Passavant® scrapers can be equipped with forced drive via rail and rack.

Passavant® ensures robust and proven clearing technology with a long life cycle and long-term spare parts availability.
